The founder

Sandra is a biomedical scientist and product development specialist. From 2018 to 2022 she worked entirely within laboratory environments, building the scientific foundation that AURÉME is built on. From 2022 she moved into clinical and pharmaceutical environments, leading into global cosmetic product development and regulatory compliance inside three world-leading cosmetic houses.
During this time she spent considerable time in direct conversation with world-leading dermatologists from across the globe — a deliberate commitment to learning from the best in the industry. She has worked at the formulation level where ingredients are evaluated the way they are in drug development. Where clinical rigour is not a marketing claim — it is the minimum standard. Where every compound requires a reason to be there.
The work that came from this period was admired in the pages of Vogue, found in celebrity bathrooms, and celebrated at private industry dinners. AURÉME was founded in Melbourne, Australia in 2025 — because that standard should not be reserved for industry insiders.
